Chapter 4: Our Stories

"I held my son close to me, there was no way that I would let them do what they did to my other children to Charon. I never wanted them to believe I abandoned them, I truly didn't! Yet, this was happening right before my eyes. Styx, Nyx, Kerberos and Hydra... grown against their wills and forced to do this. This wasn't what they wanted, mostly Styx, but I knew they weren't like this.

"Papa..?" My son mewed. "Yes my son?" I responded. "Are we ever gonna get out of here?" "I don't know, Charon..."

I heard shuffling from around our cell. It wasn't the one named Deucalion, he rarely moved or said anything. He looked out the window of the cell, what was he looking for? I never knew. "Who's there!?" I hissed loudly, to which the Guard banged their fist on the wall, telling us to be quiet. The light shined upon a large pile, four small bodies and three larger bodies that...something was off about all of them. The four smaller bodies, well, three of them, helped the other three bodies, one of them looked out the food gate, what for, I didn't know.

"Are we near them?" asked the black haired one. "Yes, we are." replied the hooded one. "Who are you..?" asked my son, shifting closer to me. "We're the Cats of the Rivers! These are the Graeae!" said the hooded one. "Cats...of the Rivers?" I asked with confusion. I knew who the Graeae were, but these Kits? Who were they..? "Forgive us, Lord Pluto and Heir Charon...we have yet to-" "How do you know my name?? You're blind!" Charon said. "We have other senses, like hearing and smell, touch and taste. Everyone has a distinct smell, and you two smell like Feline Herb*", the Black haired one continued. "Tell me, what are you three doing here, Deino. Who are these Kits? And-" "Our stories will be told, please, let us tell." Said Deino.

~Pluto, the Feline of the Stardroids with his son, Charon."

""Deino, who should go first?" asked Enyo. "I wish to!" said Pemphredo. "Stop it both of you. I will tell the story, because of what had happened." I said, shushing them. "What happened to you three?" asked Lord Pluto.

"King Kuiper had brought us from our meditation room to his throne room. He lowered the floor into a makeshift arena. My sisters and I trapped within, no means of escape. His words hit us like daggers. He said: "You three will fight for my enjoyment, Thee who wins will receive an All Seeing Eye and a Tooth. Now, fight my dears!" I was so confused, scared even. Enyo and Pemphredo looked at me, and we attacked each other. We attacked and attacked, King Kuiper laughed and laughed at our pain and misery, blood being shed all around and I defeated my sisters. He spoke once more: "Good, good, Deino! Now, Kill your sisters and receive your prize!" He said with excitement. What would you do, Kill the only people who loved you and you loved back or kill them just to see?"

""My turn, my turn!" I said excitedly, bringing my brothers close to me. "Cocytus, take it easy, we don't want the guard to come." Lethe hissed at me. "Lethe...I know..." I said, turning back to Pluto and Charon. "Cocytus...was it? Who are you? What about you?" Charon asked me. "Oh, that's easy! My mama is Styx! And-" "You're my daughter's daughter?!" Pluto exclaimed in shock. "I'm not an only child, I have Phlegethon, Acheron and Lethe! Mama Styx loves us, I know she does! But...papa doesn't like us..." "Who's your papa?" The sound of stomping above was heard, with angry growling. "WHERE'S THAT BITCH?!" yelled an angry voice. My brothers and I were very afraid of the angry voice, but Lethe was mad. "I swear, I'll kill him!" Said Lethe, rubbing her claws together.

"T-Tartarus..." I said nervously. "Who?" Pluto asked. "Tartarus is our father...he doesn't love Mama Styx...it's his fault we're down here...he scares us..."

Ah yes, here's Chapter 4 of Kuiper Khaos. Wondering where our main characters are? They're still flying towards the Kuiper Belt. They're between Saturn and Uranus right now, but they'll be here soon.
